About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform measurements and testing of incoming material as part of the incoming quality control process
- Execute manufacturing quality control plans by regularly testing parts and auditing processes and equipment
- Identify and manage non-conforming material, including quarantining, repair, and disposition
- Investigate process abnormalities and excursions to root cause issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct process trials and design of experiments (DoEs) to validate process and part improvements
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or test lab environment or equivalent educational background in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
- Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with dimensional, mechanical, and electrical test tools such as calipers, micrometers, force gauges, and digital multimeters
- Ability to interpret data and utilize basic statistical analysis to drive action
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMMs, pCMMs, or other high-precision dimensional metrology equipment
- Proficiency with metrology software such as PC-DMIS or Polyworks
