Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform physical and microbiological testing of raw ingredients, packaging, and finished dairy products.
• Identify and communicate out-of-specification analytical test results following established protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and prepare various stock solutions.
• Perform environmental control swabbing after clean-up and CIP/SIP processes.
• Maintain accurate QC records, complete analytical testing documents, and enter data into systems.
• Support internal and external audits, mock recalls, and consumer complaint investigations.
• Prepare and distribute customer certificates of analysis and process production records to isolate non-conforming products.
• Comply with all Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP), federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Food or Dairy Science is preferred.
• Working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms such as SQF, HACCP, GMP, and SOP.
• Strong math and computer skills, including proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass and maintain specific state regulatory licensing and certification requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience with food quality specifications or process control monitoring is preferred.
