About the role

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement practices to ensure hardware is designed, built, and operated with high engineering rigor
  • Understand and implement Quality Assurance requirements (NQA-1) for industry compliance
  • Evaluate the impact of quality procedures on hardware production and revise as needed
  • Create new policies and procedures to support changing priorities and new challenges
  • Execute an internal audit program to verify compliance and effective quality program implementation

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering
  • Deep familiarity with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, NQA-1, TS16959, etc.)
  • 2+ years of full-time experience in hardware design, testing, systems engineering, build reliability, or quality assurance
  • Hands-on experience with requirement derivation, negotiation, and verification
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance, Build Reliability, or Systems Engineering roles
  • Full product life cycle experience with hardware in production
  • Strong analytical and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills
