Quality Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and manage the execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100D and ISO 9001
• Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external audit programs, including managing scheduling and results reporting
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) for audit findings and nonconformance trends
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to develop digital tools and processes that meet QMS requirements
• Support metrology and calibration programs to ensure measurement equipment compliance
• Analyze quality performance metrics using data analytics platforms like ERP, Power BI, or SQL to support data-driven decision making
• Provide training and guidance on quality system policies and compliance to internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline (or 4+ years of equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing within a quality systems role
• Expert knowledge of AS9100D or ISO 9001 requirements and auditing processes
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• AS9100 / AS6500 lead auditor certification (AATT)
• ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE, or CRE
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools including SQL, Tableau, Python, or Excel
• Working knowledge of ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) systems
• Experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments like spacecraft or avionics
