Responsibilities

• Verify compliance and update of the laboratory's Quality Management System
• Coordinate with the laboratory manager the design, implementation, controls, and quality assurance of the management system
• Evaluate non-conforming work, customer claims, and audit findings using established tools
• Implement and record corrective and/or preventive actions
• Verify compliance with training programs and staff performance evaluations
• Coordinate directly with clients regarding service requests and work distribution
• Ensure collaborators have necessary equipment, materials, and safety implements
• Maintain or improve laboratory productivity levels
• Review service orders, prepare daily production programs, and monitor daily reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly production reports
• Administer reagent consumption, materials, and petty cash
• Supervise storage and return of samples and counter-samples

Requirements

• Degree and professional license in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of NTP-ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 standards
• Intermediate level statistics knowledge
• 4 years of experience in laboratory management systems for mineral testing
