About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, effluent water, and enzyme air monitoring
- Conduct microbiological testing of in-process materials, finished products, and environmental samples (sanitization, water, and air)
- Calculate and communicate batch adjustments and document analytical results using S.P.C. charts and reports
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instrumentation and schedule preventative maintenance
- Support plant operational departments to resolve quality issues and execute trials
- Utilize SAP and electronic instrument control systems for data management
- Manage product and material retains, standards, and lab supplies
- Participate in non-conforming product processes, including material/finished good control and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field
- Proficiency with personal computers and electronic instrument control systems
- Effective written and oral communication skills for interacting with co-workers and management
- Strong arithmetic calculation skills
- Good interpersonal skills to support a collaborative team culture
