Quality Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, effluent water, and enzyme air monitoring
• Conduct microbiological testing of in-process materials, finished products, and environmental samples (sanitization, water, and air)
• Calculate and communicate batch adjustments and document analytical results using S.P.C. charts and reports
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instrumentation and schedule preventative maintenance
• Support plant operational departments to resolve quality issues and execute trials
• Utilize SAP and electronic instrument control systems for data management
• Manage product and material retains, standards, and lab supplies
• Participate in non-conforming product processes, including material/finished good control and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field
• Proficiency with personal computers and electronic instrument control systems
• Effective written and oral communication skills for interacting with co-workers and management
• Strong arithmetic calculation skills
• Good interpersonal skills to support a collaborative team culture
