About the role
Responsibilities
- Create and review raw materials specifications focusing on microbiology and chemical contaminants
- Perform Food Safety Assessments and develop pHACCP and rMMS for new product projects
- Ensure technical knowledge transfer to operations through training and specification handovers
- Promote compliance with Management System requirements and applicable standards
- Support regulatory visits from bodies such as the FDA or USDA
- Provide technical assistance to factory Quality functions and Application Groups
- Support preparation efforts for ISO and NMS certifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent
- Background or knowledge in Food Microbiology and/or toxicology
- Experience in the food industry within quality, R&D, or manufacturing areas
- Experience with ingredient specifications and quality by design
- Experience participating in audit teams or improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications
- HACCP team membership
- ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 certification
