Quality Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC inspectors during assigned shifts and manage attendance and shift operations
• Perform laboratory testing and operate analytical instruments (e.g., pH, Moisture, SEM, ICP-OES, XRD)
• Provide technical support and backup assistance to inspectors to ensure continuity of lab operations
• Conduct regular inspection and basic maintenance of laboratory utilities and analytical instruments
• Maintain high accuracy when inputting and managing analysis data in designated systems
• Manage inventory control for laboratory consumables, including ordering and receiving
• Handle the preparation and shipment of advanced customer samples
• Act as the first point of escalation for abnormal data, equipment issues, or safety concerns
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and environmental documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and data entry
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, masks, respirators, and gloves
• Strong commitment to integrity, accountability, and a safety-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory or manufacturing quality operations environment
• Experience operating or supervising specific analytical instruments (e.g., XRF, SEM, PSD, BET)
• Background in chemical, battery, powder, or materials quality control
• Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality standards and document control processes
