Quality Response Team Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare manufactured fire apparatus for customer delivery and shipment
• Perform multi-point inspections, functionality checks, and equipment testing
• Act as a customer advocate to ensure all products conform to specific requirements
• Diagnose problems by disassembling components and determining necessary repairs or parts
• Perform postproduction work including basic fabrication, electrical work, and paint touch-ups
• Document non-conformances and verify all rework meets quality standards
• Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, and Sales teams regarding workmanship and customer expectations
• Support customer inspections and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the operation or maintenance of fire apparatus
• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause resolution
• Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Baan
• Knowledge of FAA and NFPA standards
• Ability to obtain a CDL Class A or B license within 6 months
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with positive people skills for customer interaction
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs, climbing, and standing for extended periods
