Quality Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary communication link between the customer assembly plant and Yazaki
• Report and record all quality concerns regarding Yazaki parts found at the customer site
• Create, issue, coordinate, and track the 8D corrective action process
• Perform proactive parts audits and Gemba reviews within the customer plant
• Support manufacturing plants with problem-solving for quality issues
• Coordinate rework activities, including checking manpower requirements and supporting the Quality Supervisor
• Support Toyota QA functions, including QIP, QAP, and kakotora activities

Requirements

• Experience within a vehicle assembly process
• Working knowledge of Global 8D, Ishikawa, Poke-Yoke, Kaizen, and 6 Sigma processes
• Broad and varied experience working within a Quality Function
• Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers at all levels
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
