Quality Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished battery cells.
• Conduct specialized testing including chemical residue, tensile strength, contamination, and metallographic analysis.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment such as CT scans, X-ray imaging, CMMs, and tensile testing machines.
• Accurately record inspection data and maintain detailed logs of non-conformances and process deviations.
• Assist in root cause analysis investigations to implement effective corrective actions.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure proper product tolerances.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and maintain safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), or 5-Why.
• Ability to work in a clean room or controlled environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with metallography, CT, TGA, and chemical analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
