Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a QMS aligned with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Lead the company through initial ISO 9001 certification
• Own all QMS documentation including quality manuals, SOPs, and work instructions
• Conduct internal audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Develop and manage supplier quality requirements for contract manufacturing partners
• Partner with R&D and Product teams to establish design controls and change management
• Implement testing plans from unit component testing to full system reliability
• Train and support employees on QMS requirements and quality awareness

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing or hardware environments
• 3+ years in a supervisory role
• Experience leading or co-leading an ISO 9001 certification effort
• Strong knowledge of QMS principles: document control, internal auditing, and CAPA
• Experience working with contract manufacturers or external suppliers
• Excellent written communication skills for policy and procedure documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification
• ASQ CQM/CQA certification
• Exposure to ISO 27001 or SOC 2 standards
• Experience selecting and implementing QMS software
• Prior experience at a pre-commercial or early-commercial hardware startup
• Experience with metrology systems or scientific instrumentation
