About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage site-based Quality personnel including engineers, inspectors, and NDT technicians
- Oversee QMS implementation, document control, and nonconformance management
- Drive adherence to customer, ABS, US Navy, and regulatory quality standards
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to eliminate root causes and improve process capability
- Provide technical oversight for inspection and test activities during fabrication and sea trials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical discipline
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- 3–5 years in a management or supervisory role within shipbuilding or defense manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ABS, US Navy, or other maritime and defense quality requirements
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 standards
- Proficiency in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
