About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in alignment with USACE and DOTD standards
- Oversee quality control and assurance activities across all phases of construction, including site development, wharves, and ramps
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, specifications, and contract requirements
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of construction activities and documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions
- Serve as the liaison with third-party inspectors, regulatory agencies, and client representatives
- Mentor and train project staff on quality procedures and continuous improvement practices
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana or eligibility to transfer license
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality management
- Experience on large-scale civil infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of USACE standards, DOTD inspection protocols, and NEPA compliance
- Experience with dam embankment, marine terminal, or heavy civil construction projects
- Familiarity with federal permitting processes and environmental review procedures
