About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage quality control and assurance processes for heavy civil, transportation, and water construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure adherence to quality standards and code compliance.
- Support project teams in developing and implementing project quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists.
- Review and approve project submittals, shop drawings, and material specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a liaison between authorized inspection agencies and jurisdictional authorities.
- Train and mentor project staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in quality management for construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in RMS 3.0 and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven track record of managing quality control for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Exceptional math, computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record.
- Ability to travel as needed and work in various field locations and conditions.
