About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage site-specific quality plans to ensure full contract compliance.
- Collaborate with operations to identify required inspections, tests, and documentation during work pack development.
- Review and approve quality documents and supplier-provided materials for compliance with contract requirements.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with third-party inspection and testing firms.
- Train, mentor, and supervise project quality inspection personnel.
- Actively report and track nonconforming work within company-approved systems.
- Coordinate punch list walks and monitor the process to verify final completion of work.
- Perform quality audits and assessments of specific project processes.
- Maintain calibration logs for all testing equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a similar technical discipline with 5+ years of related quality management experience (or an Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience).
- Proven experience in quality management or testing/inspection with state DOTs, federal agencies, or the US armed forces.
- Proficiency with engineering and project management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel and relocate on a project-to-project basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCQM, ASQ, CQE, USACE CQM, ACI, WAQTC, ASCE, AWS, CWB, or API.
