Quality Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and enforce a quality management system with SOPs for carpentry, metal fabrication, printing, foam, painting, and assembly
• Participate in design reviews to ensure feasibility and compliance with safety, legal, and environmental standards
• Conduct routine in-process audits of fabrication work to identify deviations early
• Inspect completed bespoke event structures for cosmetic, structural, and functional compliance before shipping
• Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet specifications
• Lead investigations into non-conforming items and implement corrective actions
• Ensure all fabrications adhere to health and safety regulations, including electrical safety
• Maintain accurate records for client certifications, material traceability, and safety audits
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to resolve quality issues

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance or Quality Manager
• Experience in event fabrication or construction environments
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication (welding) and/or carpentry
• Proficiency in finishing techniques and technical drawing/blueprint interpretation
• Experience leading a small team of technicians, inspectors, or assemblers
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
• Ability to work in a workshop environment with noise, dust, and heat
• Ability to work on-site and handle tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 9001 lead auditor training
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
