About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage Non-Conforming Event (NCE) investigations using root cause analysis techniques like 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
- Develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct periodic comprehensive and weekly focused audits to ensure conformance to quality checklists and patient safety standards.
- Serve as the site Document Control specialist, managing SOP manuals and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Deliver training to staff regarding quality programs, tools, and good documentation practices.
- Oversee the Man Overboard (MoB) program to coordinate searches for missing samples and document incidents.
- Compile and analyze quality metrics to inform Management Review KPI feedback.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in science or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a veterinary or clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory service lines including accessioning, chemistry, hematology, histology, microbiology, parasitology, urinalysis, and cytology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in laboratory Quality Management.
- Experience with Non-conforming Event Management, Internal Auditing, or Document Control.
- Experience utilizing MediaLab software.
- Professional certification such as MLS, MT, CLS, or relevant ASQ certification.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
