Quality Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Establish quality policies, procedures, and documentation standards
• Design document control, training, and corrective action processes
• Lead internal audits and management reviews
• Develop incoming, in-process, and final inspection programs
• Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage supplier quality activities and audits
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations
• Lead incident investigations and risk assessments
• Mentor future quality and safety team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing management
• Experience building quality systems in a manufacturing environment
• Background in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or highly regulated industries
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and SPC
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to work directly on the manufacturing floor
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on work in a laboratory

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in electromechanical or electronics manufacturing
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or AS9100 standards
• Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and 8D problem solving
• Professional certifications such as CQE, CMQ/OE, or CSP
• Knowledge of radiation safety, high-voltage, or cryogenic systems
