Quality Lead

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality standards.
• Establish testing procedures to determine mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
• Perform testing on materials, parts, or finished products to measure performance under various conditions.
• Document test results and evaluate data to identify deviations from quality and reliability standards.
• Suggest manufacturing changes to improve product quality and recommend methods to minimize scrap.
• Select, assign, and evaluate the performance of the quality control team.
• Arrange training sessions to improve quality control measures and ensure compliance with labor relations requirements.
• Maintain records, issue correspondence, and review errors to provide corrective advice.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency in technical report writing and routine correspondence.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Advanced technical skills and detailed functional knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to handle small components and work in environments with moving mechanical parts.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certification (CQT, CQA, CQPA, or CSSGB) is highly desired.
