Quality Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory analyses following strict methodologies
• Record, report, and maintain statistical records of all test data in prescribed forms
• Interpret test results against established specifications and recommend data release
• Perform visual inspections of finished products and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Participate in out-of-specification investigations and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure compliance with standard protocols and item specifications
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems to ensure continuous operation

Requirements

• Community College diploma in a related field or four years of related work experience
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, terminology, equipment, and materials
• Understanding of chemical, biological, and physical testing principles and sample preparation
• Proficiency in data processing and arithmetic for computing test results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Manual dexterity and good eyesight for laboratory manipulative techniques
• Ability to follow complex written and oral instructions accurately
