Quality Lab Technician - Warranty

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely claim resolution.
• Maintain detailed records of customer returns, ensuring all parts are properly logged, evaluated, and routed for engineering review.
• Partner with Receiving, Accounting, Customer Care, and the Warranty Manager to support accurate payment, credit, or recovery activities.
• Perform physical parts evaluation and document findings to support root-cause analysis and warranty validation.
• Support Engineering throughout the warranty evaluation cycle by providing data and physical assessment results.
• Collaborate with warranty administrative support to maintain consistent throughput of claims within customer-defined timelines.
• Apply continuous-improvement methodologies to streamline processes and enhance data integrity.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of parts evaluation, data processing, and reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word is required.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external customers.
• Knowledge of warranty and quality processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MiniTAB and MS Access.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP.
• Basic understanding of the 8D problem-solving process.
• General accounting experience.
