Quality Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Metallurgically examine coatings on customer components to ascertain causes of failure or confirm new coating techniques meet requirements
• Prepare detailed laboratory reports outlining examination findings and conclusions
• Ensure all inspection documentation is complete and accurately recorded on outgoing certifications
• Issue final certification of conformance prior to component dispatch
• Raise non-conformance reports when required
• Monitor strip lines via chemical analysis and analyze coatings using SEM and EDX
• Prepare and evaluate various hardness samples

Requirements

• Previous laboratory experience within the manufacturing, coating, or aerospace industries
• Education to A-level or equivalent in a science-based subject
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to deliver responsibilities in line with safety, quality, and productivity targets
