About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and validate analytical instruments for production quality monitoring
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory operations
  • Monitor and manage the quality performance of mass production lines, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Analyze quality-related data and generate actionable insights to improve process efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and troubleshooting activities
  • Prepare and present quality reports for internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/operations engineering or a related technical field
  • Ability to work multiple shifts, including weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation
  • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up analytical labs and managing instruments (e.g., ICP-OES, XRF, SEM, Battery Cycler)
  • Experience with instruments such as PSD, BET, XRD, Titrator, Moisture, and Tap Density
  • Background in quality control for manufacturing lines and powder-based products
  • Ability to lead or participate in 8D problem-solving for nonconforming issues
  • Proficiency in data processing using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Completion of Core Tool Training (e.g., APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, CP, and PPAP)
