About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper working order.
- Prepare test solutions, compounds, standards, and reagents for laboratory testing.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment using 6S principles.
- Review samples, log data, and enter information into LIMS.
- Investigate deviations and write exception documents in compliance with company SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
- Serve as a mentor to Quality Laboratory Associates, providing training and work direction.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Chemistry Laboratory, or a Master's degree in Natural Sciences with relevant laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in at least three of the following techniques: HPLC, GC, AA, Flame Photometry, FTIR, or UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
- Strong knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Familiarity with LIMS (or equivalent) and TrackWise.
- Digital literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a timely manner with strong attention to detail.
