About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order.
- Prepare test solutions, compounds, standards, and reagents for laboratory testing.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment using 6S principles.
- Review samples, log data, and enter information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
- Investigate deviations and complete exception documentation.
- Perform routine laboratory and safety audits.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry preferred) or a Master's degree in Natural Sciences with relevant laboratory experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Chemistry Laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in at least three of the following techniques: HPLC, GC, AA, Flame Photometry, FTIR, or UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
- Strong knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Familiarity with LIMS (or equivalent) and TrackWise.
- Digital literacy with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
