About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed technical inspections on ordnance equipment
  • Interpret and communicate technical manual requirements to the workforce and management
  • Analyze GCSS-MC and MCPIC data to ensure equipment readiness for customer delivery
  • Monitor and update the Quality Management System Database (eQMS)
  • Ensure all customer-generated quality complaints are addressed properly and timely
  • Serve as a liaison to government Quality Assurance Equipment Specialists
  • Monitor personnel activities within the ordnance maintenance process to improve quality and satisfaction

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a maintenance shop chief in USMC or Army Quality Control (3rd, 4th, or Depot Level maintenance)
  • Working knowledge of MCO 4790.2, MCO P4400.150, and GCSS-MC
  • In-depth understanding of Marine Corps or Army policies, regulations, and orders
  • Proficiency in quality assurance principles, techniques, and maintenance management functional areas
  • Working knowledge of DoD publications and the Marine Corps Publication Distribution System (MCPDS)
  • Ability to use standard commercial word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software

Preferred Qualifications

  • USMC MOS (or Army equivalent 2141, 2146, 2147, 2149) with completed maintenance-related training
  • Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt training or familiarity with Six Sigma process improvement methods
  • Experience using quality data to identify maintenance trends and process deficiencies
  • Ability to provide quality metrics and presentations to senior leadership
