Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections by determining appropriate methods, operations, sequences, and setups
• Review documents to determine acceptance or non-acceptance of materials
• Produce inspection reports and corrective action requests
• Report quality findings or problems to the Quality Manager and follow up to ensure corrective actions are complete
• Maintain records of inspections and prepare lists of defects
• Work with all departments to ensure compliance with specifications
• Participate in team development, including quality and continuous improvement programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of related experience
• Ability to interpret blueprints and understand Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standards
• Understanding of basic concepts of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent
• Must hold US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior quality experience in the aerospace or automotive industries
