Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and surveillance activities related to structural steel fabrication and erection, piping fabrication and installation, welding, bolting and mechanical installation
• Verify work is performed in accordance with industry standards, approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans, and project procedures
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to specific assignments
• Assist with identifying and reporting rework and non-conforming issues

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Oil & Gas and/or Power industrial construction, including structural steel and process piping
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards such as AWS D1.1 / D1.5, ASME B31.1 / B31.3, ASME Sect. IX, AISC/RCSC
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality procedures
• Capability to work extended construction hours and potential night shifts
• Exceptional organization and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification
• Ability to gain additional certifications to support project testing and inspection
