Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform rigorous First Article Inspections (FAIRs) of CNC machined and waterjet parts
• Inspect large metallic parts using precision measuring tools including height and bore gauges, pin gauges, calipers, and CMMs
• Utilize specialized equipment to inspect power system hardware such as solar modules and battery cells
• Perform visual inspections of PCBAs, harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Document and maintain accurate documentation within ERP and MES systems
• Assist with final walkdown inspections of integrated Mega-class satellites
• Support inventory management of incoming hardware and components

Requirements

• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T
• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems
• Knowledge of ESD handling and ITAR compliance
• Experience with AS9100 or similar quality management systems
• Aerospace standard certifications (IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739.3, or NASA-STD-8739.4)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and maneuver in tight spaces
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD and PLM software (NX, Teamcenter)
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings per ASME Y14.5
• Forklift certification
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment
