Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform final and in-process product inspections according to applicable instructions and procedures
• Conduct dimensional measurements of required characteristics
• Read, review, validate, and store generated quality records
• Identify and tag components that are in process or held due to inspection discrepancies
• Provide feedback to deburring and machining operators based on inspection results
• Perform product and process audits according to established programs
• Maintain and care for measuring instruments, ensuring they remain within calibration periods
• Train operators on defect detection
• Notify the development team immediately regarding documentation or process discrepancies during first production runs
• Pack final products according to specifications

Requirements

• High school diploma, technical degree, or incomplete engineering degree
• 2+ years of experience as a quality inspector in a high-volume manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in visual inspection techniques and defect detection
• Experience handling and using various measurement instruments and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using profile projectors
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Basic understanding of quality systems
• Knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) or FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) processes
