About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine tests and inspections of raw, in-process, and finished good products to evaluate quality and performance
- Read and interpret technical data, specifications, and 2D prints/CAD drawings to perform meaningful inspections
- Perform push and pull testing using Mark-10 equipment to qualify parts or gather engineering data
- Execute non-destructive and destructive testing to qualify material or assist in root cause investigations
- Utilize a wide range of metrology tools including calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and optical comparators
- Interpret test results against established specifications and control limits to make product release recommendations
- Maintain laboratory testing and measurement equipment and monitor operational procedures for standard conformance
- Conduct layered process audits to ensure compliance with Axon 7S standards
- Maintain the QC database by accurately logging and recording data in written or electronic forms
- Analyze information and evaluate results to recommend solutions and solve quality problems
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures, and standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Basic software and computer skills
- Experience with ISO standards, inspection standards, and quality concepts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and technical report writing abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 certification
- Green Belt Certification
- Familiarity with Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software
