Quality Inspector II

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine tests and inspections of raw, in-process, and finished good products to evaluate quality and performance
• Read and interpret technical data, specifications, and 2D prints/CAD drawings to perform meaningful inspections
• Perform push and pull testing using Mark-10 equipment to qualify parts or gather engineering data
• Execute non-destructive and destructive testing to qualify material or assist in root cause investigations
• Utilize a wide range of metrology tools including calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and optical comparators
• Interpret test results against established specifications and control limits to make product release recommendations
• Maintain laboratory testing and measurement equipment and monitor operational procedures for standard conformance
• Conduct layered process audits to ensure compliance with Axon 7S standards
• Maintain the QC database by accurately logging and recording data in written or electronic forms
• Analyze information and evaluate results to recommend solutions and solve quality problems

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures, and standards
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
• Basic software and computer skills
• Experience with ISO standards, inspection standards, and quality concepts
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and technical report writing abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 certification
• Green Belt Certification
• Familiarity with Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software
