Quality Inspector I

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft assembly activities and products for conformance with government and company standards
• Inspect the installation and operation of aircraft parts and equipment
• Detect potential quality and air safety risks in work areas
• Read and understand technical information from Work Instructions, Drawings, Standards, and Specifications
• Document production and process non-conformances
• Use inspection tools and test equipment applicable to the activity
• Prepare technical reports of quality deviations for engineering analysis
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative actions
• Participate in kaizens and projects to improve efficiency and quality goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-4 years of quality experience in an aeronautical environment
• Prior inspector work experience with aerospace quality systems meeting FAA requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
• Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and specifications
• Experience using basic measurement instruments and test equipment
• Ability to work with the metric system

Preferred Qualifications

• A.S. degree in Aviation
• A&P License
• IA FAA License
