Quality Inspector I

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments and manufactured products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company quality standards
• Perform precise part measurements using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM
• Collect data and maintain accurate charting for quality control
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Assembly departments to resolve specification errors or design issues
• Conduct product testing, audits, and case line-ups
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory storage and physical plant areas
• Perform material handling duties, including operating forklifts and hand trucks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of related experience or training
• Proficiency with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and customer orders
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Strong mathematical skills for computing rates, ratios, and decimals

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift truck certification
• Experience with AS400 systems
• ASQ Certification
• Experience with electronic and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
