About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed technical inspections on Engineer equipment
- Interpret and communicate technical manual requirements to the workforce and management
- Analyze and display GCSS-MC and MCPIC data to ensure equipment readiness
- Monitor and update the Quality Management System Database (eQMS)
- Ensure all customer-generated quality complaints are addressed properly and timely
- Serve as a liaison to government Quality Assurance Equipment Specialists
- Monitor personnel activities within the Engineer maintenance process to improve quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a U.S. Government background investigation (SF 85-NACI)
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience as a maintenance shop chief in USMC or Army Quality Control or depot-level maintenance
- Working knowledge of MCO 4790.2, MCO P4400.150, and GCSS-MC
- In-depth understanding of Marine Corps or Army policies, regulations, and orders
- Proficiency in using standard commercial word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software applications
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and maintenance management functional areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant USMC MOS or Army equivalent (e.g., 1391, 1341, 1345, 1310, 1169, 1161, 1141, 1142, 1171, 1120)
- Completed applicable maintenance-related training (Journeyman School, Intermediate Maintenance, or Chief School)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or other process improvement methods
- Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt training
- Experience utilizing quality data to identify maintenance trends and process deficiencies
