Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Control the inflow and outflow of work in the inspection department and prioritize jobs to meet shipment dates
• Set up and calibrate precision measuring equipment to measure parts and assemblies to tolerances of +/- .0002”
• Perform various quality inspection procedures including dimensional verification, nondestructive testing, UT, and Megger Test
• Conduct visual inspections, complete final inspection reports, and prepare Certificates of Conformance
• Record data, identify problems, and initiate Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as needed
• Perform manual tasks such as cleaning, fitting, filing, tapping, reaming, blending, and polishing to ensure proper operation of parts
• Work closely with the production manager to ensure efficient production flow

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience and/or training
• Ability to interpret work instructions, drawings, and various diagrams or schedules
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and gauging devices
