Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Carry out First Article Mechanical Inspections of aerospace component parts and sub-assemblies to AS9102 standards
• Finalize First Article Inspection Reports and record data within the MRP computer system
• Manage and control equipment calibration processes
• Support continuous improvement activities and provide data concerning product and process quality performance
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve customer issues and promote satisfaction
• Support the New Product Introduction process through quality planning and implementation
• Ensure all quality data is captured and analyzed against targets to address adverse variations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment
• Working knowledge of AS9102 standards
• Proficiency in using handheld measuring tools such as Verniers, Height Gauges, and Micrometers
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Experience using MRP systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMM and MCOSMOS software
• Background in aerospace manufacturing within medium to high volume environments
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and LEAN Manufacturing methodologies
