About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out First Article Mechanical Inspections of aerospace component parts and sub-assemblies to AS9102 standards
- Finalize First Article Inspection Reports and record data within the MRP computer system
- Manage and control equipment calibration processes
- Support continuous improvement activities and provide data concerning product and process quality performance
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve customer issues and promote satisfaction
- Support the New Product Introduction process through quality planning and implementation
- Ensure all quality data is captured and analyzed against targets to address adverse variations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment
- Working knowledge of AS9102 standards
- Proficiency in using handheld measuring tools such as Verniers, Height Gauges, and Micrometers
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience using MRP systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMM and MCOSMOS software
- Background in aerospace manufacturing within medium to high volume environments
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and LEAN Manufacturing methodologies
