Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming purchased parts, materials, and documentation to ensure compliance with technical data and purchase orders
• Inspect outgoing parts and documentation to meet export shipping orders and FAA requirements
• Verify receipt of raw materials, components, and assemblies for visual damage and documentation accuracy
• Perform inspections as an FAA designated inspector to ensure compliance with 14 CFR and engineering specifications
• Track and maintain accurate shipping/receiving inventory and inspection results using computerized databases
• Document discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with Production, Engineering, or the Material Review Board (MRB)
• Ensure all inspection documentation and production work instructions comply with quality systems and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Associate Degree or HS Diploma with completed vocational training in a technical profession
• 2-5 years of shipping/receiving inspection experience or equivalent
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license, TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license, or EASA Category A, B1, B2, or C
• 3 years of aerospace-specific quality inspection experience (Civilian or Military)
• Experience working with Authorized Release Certificates (FAA 8130, TCCA Form One, or EASA Form 1)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents
• Proficiency with MS Office and SAP
