Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems to establish and measure performance against standards
• Monitor performance and implement necessary actions to meet quality levels
• Integrate external standards into internal quality management systems
• Establish communication strategies for quality issue awareness across departments
• Liaison with quality management, standards bodies, customers, and suppliers
• Identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive methods
• Participate in product and process development and cross-functional teams
• Develop product/process quality and inspection plans using statistical techniques
• Lead continuous improvement programs

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Control & Assurance
• Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak)
• Availability to work night shifts
• Familiarity with assembly and manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 series and Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA)
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and statistical tools

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering
• Six Sigma certification
• Experience using MRP or Enterprise systems in manufacturing
• Familiarity with electrical schematics
