Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer in product design and manufacturing processes
• Maintain and improve the quality management system to ensure product conformance and compliance
• Lead and execute problem-solving activities using CAPA tools to identify root causes and eliminate them
• Develop and track internal and external KPIs through data-driven analysis
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop process documentation, including DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans
• Supervise, coach, and mentor Quality Technicians in assigned manufacturing areas
• Partner with plant leadership to identify process breakdowns and implement continuous improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a quality or process engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Experience with CAPA tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa diagrams
• Proficiency with DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex data

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma experience
• Prior experience in carpet, textile, or plastic extrusion manufacturing
