Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
• Lead structured root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and A3
• Drive containment, corrective, and preventive actions for internal and customer nonconformances
• Establish and maintain control charts to monitor process characteristics and capability (Cp/Cpk)
• Analyze quality data including scrap, rework, and customer complaints to identify trends
• Support APQP activities, including PFMEA and Control Plans, and assist with PPAP documentation
• Participate in internal audits and support external customer or certification body audits
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal audit processes
• Experience with SPC, control charts, and capability analysis
• Proven experience leading corrective action processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with statistical software is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
