Quality Engineer Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Manufacturing Quality Team, including Quality Engineers and Technicians.
• Champion cross-functional problem-solving activities to resolve assembly issues and test cell failures.
• Drive zero-defect goals through continuous process improvement and root cause analysis.
• Monitor and communicate manufacturing quality performance via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Manage the "Okay to Ship" (OKTS) process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering during Global New Product Development launches.
• Oversee team administration, including scheduling, training programs, and performance accountability.
• Participate in Quality Management activities such as QMS/process audits and document reviews.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing) or 10 years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or in a supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
• Proficiency in automotive or industrial quality tools: AIAG, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, 8D, MSA, and SPC.
• Hands-on experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping).
• Ability to read blueprints and utilize quality hand tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certification (CQM, CQA, or CQE).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience as an Internal Auditor.
