Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T standards for inspection methods
• Develop and maintain inspection programs utilizing CMM and surface finish equipment
• Monitor, control, and calibrate inspection and measurement equipment
• Perform MSA to ensure inspection capabilities and identify gauging improvements
• Lead root cause corrective actions using tools such as A3 and 8D
• Evaluate and disposition nonconforming material, rework, scrap, and customer returns
• Facilitate automatic data collection and analysis through SPC and capability studies
• Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong expertise in GD&T
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Aerospace industry
• CMM programming experience (e.g., Zeiss Calypso, PC-DMIS)
• Experience with form and contour inspection equipment (e.g., Mahr, Taylor Hobson)
• Proficiency with various measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Previous experience with calibration processes
