About the role
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T standards for inspection methods
- Develop and maintain inspection programs utilizing CMM and surface finish equipment
- Monitor, control, and calibrate inspection and measurement equipment
- Perform MSA to ensure inspection capabilities and identify gauging improvements
- Lead root cause corrective actions using tools such as A3 and 8D
- Evaluate and disposition nonconforming material, rework, scrap, and customer returns
- Facilitate automatic data collection and analysis through SPC and capability studies
- Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong expertise in GD&T
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Aerospace industry
- CMM programming experience (e.g., Zeiss Calypso, PC-DMIS)
- Experience with form and contour inspection equipment (e.g., Mahr, Taylor Hobson)
- Proficiency with various measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Previous experience with calibration processes
