Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality rules and methods are deployed and followed during the development process (IATF16949).
• Coordinate quality activities including participation in DFMEA and PFMEA.
• Supervise and release Key Product/Process Characteristics (KPC) and Key Control Characteristics (KCC).
• Interface with customers and suppliers regarding quality problems and improvement activities using structured corrective action methods.
• Facilitate Corrective Action Activities such as 8D.
• Manage prototype, pre-series, and production control plans.
• Monitor quality roadmaps to meet targets and initiate action plans when metrics are not met.
• Perform internal and external pre-production process audits.
• Represent project quality during the engineering change approval process.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IATF requirements and automotive quality standards.
• Demonstrated experience in structured problem solving (8D or similar).
• Proficiency in Excel, Minitab, and Visio.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• ASQ Certification.
