Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply strategic and critical thinking to Quality Management Systems and product quality
• Review customer contracts and purchase orders for quality requirements
• Communicate quality program requirements internally and externally
• Develop and implement quality procedures and metrics
• Collaborate with production and engineering to identify risks and implement proactive quality improvement strategies
• Conduct audits to assess technical capabilities and recommend improvements
• Manage nonconformance and corrective action processes
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Offer technical assistance and training to inspection personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) or 7 years of relevant aerospace quality engineering experience
• Extensive expertise in aerospace products and processes
• Strong background in regulatory administration and quality engineering principles
• Proficiency in AS9102 First Article Inspection and DISCUS/Net Inspect
• Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Investigation
