About the role
Responsibilities
- Apply strategic and critical thinking to Quality Management Systems and product quality
- Review customer contracts and purchase orders for quality requirements
- Communicate quality program requirements internally and externally
- Develop and implement quality procedures and metrics
- Collaborate with production and engineering to identify risks and implement proactive quality improvement strategies
- Conduct audits to assess technical capabilities and recommend improvements
- Manage nonconformance and corrective action processes
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Offer technical assistance and training to inspection personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) or 7 years of relevant aerospace quality engineering experience
- Extensive expertise in aerospace products and processes
- Strong background in regulatory administration and quality engineering principles
- Proficiency in AS9102 First Article Inspection and DISCUS/Net Inspect
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Investigation
