Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing quality plans, control plans, and inspection methods.
• Lead structured problem solving for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier issues.
• Analyze process performance using SPC and capability studies (Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk).
• Support new product and process introductions by defining critical-to-quality requirements and PFMEA updates.
• Execute internal audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Manage nonconforming material processes, including MRB disposition and containment.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap and rework using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Support measurement systems through MSA (gage R&R) and coordinate calibration activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive corrective actions and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated strength in root cause analysis and process validation methodologies.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable steps.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.
• Ability to work effectively on the production floor with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA facilitation, and process validation/qualification.
• Proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools such as Minitab, JMP, or Power BI.
