Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection and testing processes, procedures, and quality-controlled documentation.
• Perform reliability analyses, including MTBF calculations and FMEAs.
• Participate in advanced quality planning such as QFD and DOE during design and process reviews.
• Apply statistical variation theories (e.g., ANOVA, t-test, f-test) to analyze data and identify trends.
• Act as a Lead Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor for supplier audits.
• Interface with sales, engineering, customers, and suppliers to provide technical support and contract review input.
• Integrate quality and statistical tools with lean manufacturing methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• BS degree in a technical discipline.
• 5 years of quality-related experience.
• Proficiency in advanced statistical techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings across diverse functional groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
• ASQ Certified Green Belt.
