Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and SPC data analysis to troubleshoot quality issues
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for assigned programs and maintain all related documentation
• Manage and coordinate PPAP submissions within specified timeframes
• Conduct capability studies and Gauge R&R analysis
• Create quality documents in compliance with company and industry system requirements
• Review and recommend dispositions for non-conforming products
• Assist in variability reduction, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with various departments to resolve design conflicts, safety concerns, and material unsuitability
• Identify and record product, process, and quality system problems to prevent non-conformity

Requirements

• Proven experience in the automotive industry
• Extensive experience with Core Tools, specifically MSA, APQP, and GD&T
• Experience with new product and program launches
• Advanced proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading based on OEM standards
• Ability to read and interpret CMM reports
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF, and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management standards
• Product and process knowledge related to suspension, structural (BIW), or Class A components
