Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer the Project Quality Plan and ensure the quality program is implemented throughout the US Navy Spent Fuel Handling Project
• Draft and maintain Project Quality Plans, including required activities and associated metrics
• Facilitate Root/Apparent Cause Analysis and maintain Corrective Action Reports
• Plan and participate in internal quality audits, surveillances, and document reviews
• Identify potential quality incidents before they arise and provide updates on client critique results
• Collect and sort quality data to perform statistical analysis for proactive solutions
• Mentor Project Quality Coordinators and disseminate quality information across departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
• 1-3+ years of quality experience (nuclear experience is highly desired)
• Proficiency in problem-solving and causal analysis techniques
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Ability to work onsite at an active construction site in various climates and environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards such as NQA-1, ISO-9001, Six Sigma, or US NRC Reg Guides
• Working knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication for materials, equipment, and services
• Experience with quality control procedures relating to construction activities
