Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Establish and support project quality processes, procedures, and plans
• Review technical documentation, including ITPs, Quality Plans, and specifications, for compliance
• Plan and undertake on-site inspections and surveillance of supplier QA/QC activities
• Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and quality health checks
• Monitor quality performance against KPIs and identify areas for improvement
• Support product verification activities, including factory and site acceptance tests
• Manage non-conformances, defect notifications, risks, and opportunities
• Lead root cause analysis and drive process improvement initiatives
• Coordinate Lifetime Quality Records and final documentation packs
• Liaise with third-party representatives and quality stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in a Quality Engineering role within regulated industries (e.g., defence, nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, or pharma)
• Strong knowledge and application of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance (UK residency and nationality requirements apply)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Possession of own transport is essential for site-based work in Helensburgh
